The future of Qlik in the middle term is Qlik Sense. The growing trend for Business intelligence is self-service platform and the consumption of information in any device anywhere. Qlik Sense is intended to cover these requirements. Below we look up the main features:
- Nice visualizations.
- Easy to Use.The product is easy to use. It’s designed for the end user so they can truly perform self-serve BI.
- Mobility. The entire platform is designed for mobility, allowing end users to develop and consume their Business Intelligence on any device.
- Storytelling. Qlik has introduced the feature called storytelling in Qlik Sense. This new feature was previously available in Tableau. It allows us to build presentations within the tool so we can share the insights we gain in our analysis.
- Associative Data Engine. Qlik Sense still has the Associative Data Engine which allows us to see what is associated with the data we have selected. This is extremely powerful in providing insight into the relationships between items in your business. In addition, the “Smart Search” allows us to search for and find anything regardless of where it is in our data. These features come from QlikView.
From our experience working with QlikView, we find ourselves constrained when building apps in Sense, but we can see it is perfect for those that don’t need too much hand-holding discover but want to build their own dashboards without the complicated stuff that QlikView has.
